Basic Search Tips

• Searches Title, Keywords, Location, and Notes fields simultaneously.
• Name searches are best performed here since a name may appear in any of several fields.
• If multiple words are searched, all words must be present in a single field for the item to be retrieved (Boolean “and” is assumed).
• Words searched retrieve whole words or parts of words, e.g. a search for “fish” retrieves “fish,” “fishing,” “Fisher,” "fisherman," etc.
• Once retrieved, photos can be fit to the full screen size (usually enlarged) by clicking anywhere on the image; many can be enlarged again by clicking on the icon which appears in the lower right corner of the picture when the cursor is placed there.
• Use Advanced Search to retrieve by Image Number or to search specific fields and use the “Or” operator.
